Compression Cutting

Compression cutting is one of most popular and typical die cutting methods, which is used a lot in foam fabrication. It is also called flatbed die cutting. Flatbed compression cutter can also use for die cutting fabric, plastic, rubber, paper so other industrial materials. They are high efficient and versatile for finishing many foam fabrication projects.

Empowering high strength press, flatbed compression cutter can horizontally cut foam material with high precision. Also not like small cutting platform of kiss cutting and rotary die cutting, compression cutting can be used to custom cut large size sheet material. It is also suitable to use for low volume foam products.

Custom made steel rule die is a must for using compression cutting. Once the steel rule die ready, compression cutting can easily stamp out custom foam shapes in precise sizes. Compared with rotary die cutting or kiss cutting, flatbed compression cutting with thicker foam material with lower tooling cost.

Compression cutting can also work with a broad range of foam material such as EVA foam, Polyethylene foam, PVC foam, EPP foam and other foam rubber materials. The typical foam products we can flatbed compression cutter to make includes foam pads, foam packaging, industrial foam parts, furniture upholstery and so much more.
